S.S.R. Project Semester 2 - Final Due Date June 10th

S.S.R. Book Project – The Letter
This project requires that you take information from your S.S.R. book and write a letter to promote your book.
This project serves the same purpose as the previous S.S.R. Project
1) Demonstrates understanding and knowledge regarding the book you have been personally reading for this quarter and
2) Gives other students a good idea about the book you have read, and provides another option for your classmates next book.

EXPECTATIONS – WHAT INFORMATION IS NECESSARY?
You must include –
·         A brief summary of your book (DO NOT REVEAL THE ENDING!) (8 pts)
a.      Include plot overview
b.      Characters
c.       Setting
·         Intended Audience – who would enjoy reading this? Why? (4 pts)
·         Review – why would you recommend this book to others? What about it stood out? Would could have been improved? (8 pts)

Remember, your job is to convince others to give your book a try. With this version of the project, I am expecting that everyone has a relatively positive review of their book – we have discussed how S.S.R. is time to read something you WANT to read, so the reviews should reflect this.

IMPORTANT - Nobody wants to read a book when they already know the ending, SO DON’T GIVE IT AWAY! Build it up so they want to find out what happens – your goal is to get people EXCITED to want to read your book.

The letters will be traded and read by different classes, which will partially determine your grade.
